Anwar Ratol is one of the most beloved mango varieties in Pakistan. This relatively young species originated when a mango grower moved to Punjab, Pakistan, and named the fruit after his father, Anwar. The Anwar Ratol mango appears early in the season, around June, and is known for its fleshy, low-fiber texture. Due to its high demand and limited production, it is typically available for just a few weeks. The finest Anwar Ratols are grown in the southern regions of Punjab, Pakistan. This small-sized mango is often eaten by directly consuming the pulp from the tip. It is renowned for its unique sweet flavor and strong aroma. Additionally, unripe Anwar Ratol mangoes are favored for making pickles and chutneys.
